Cagliari President Massimo Cellino is undecided whether to sack Massimo Ficcadenti after the home loss to Pescara.
Reports last night suggested that the axe would fall, but Cellino seems to be still assessing his options.
“The team and the players have not been in a position to give their best because of the Coach, because of me and because of the players themselves,” he told GR Parlamento.
“It will take little for me to change the Coach, but I don’t know whether all the problems can be attributed to Ficcadenti.
“To cut off Ficcadenti’s head would be the simplest thing, but I wouldn’t want to do that to a nice guy and a serious professional.
“I’ve not made any decision yet. And I haven’t spoken to the Coach either, so I can’t be sure who is responsible.
“Nevertheless, the season is still young.”
