Malaga keen on Alvarez

Malaga are interested in signing Inter midfielder Ricardo Alvarez, according to reports in the Spanish media.

Manuel Pellegrini's side are keeping tabs on the Argentine playmaker, and will look to make the 24-year-old theirs during the January transfer window, Madrid daily AS are reporting.

The Argentina international joined the Nerazzurri in 2011 from Velez Sarsfield for a fee of around €11m, and has gone on to make 24 Serie A appearances for the club, scoring two goals.

A bid of €14m is likely to sway the San Siro side's head, as they look to offload the youngster who has been plagued with knee problems since his arrival in Italy.

Malaga, who were brought by Sheik Abdullah Al Thani last year, made their Champions League debut this season, being drawn in the same group as Inter's city rivals Milan.
