Napoli have released a statement noting they are “not under investigation” and helping police with their enquiries after a raid on the club headquarters.
“It was to gain information around an investigation started in 2007 by the Naples Tribunal, the contents of which are not known,” read a statement from the club.
“With regards to this, we underline that the club, its representatives and directors are not under investigation.
“The club stands alongside the magistrates in every activity aimed towards ascertaining the truth.”
It is reported the investigation is into money used in player transfers, but this has not been confirmed.
“There has been merely the acquisition of documentary information on some players, but nobody is under investigation, nor are there any charges,” added Napoli lawyer Mattia Grassani.
