U21: Italy play-off squad

Fabio Borini, Lorenzo Insigne, Samuele Longo and Ciro Immobile are among the talents for Italy’s Under-21 European Championship play-off with Sweden.

Coach Devis Mangia named his squad for the two-legged clash on Friday October 12 at the Stadio Adriatico in Pescara and Tuesday October 18 in Kalmar.

Along with famous names, there is also the first Under-21 call-up for Inter defender Matteo Bianchetti.

Goalkeepers: Francesco Bardi (Novara), Simone Colombi (Modena), Mattia Perin (Pescara);

Defenders: Matteo Bianchetti (Inter), Luca Caldirola (Cesena), Marco Capuano (Pescara), Mattia De Sciglio (Milan), Giulio Donati (Grosseto), Paolo Frascatore (Sassuolo), Simone Romagnoli (Pescara), Mario Sampirisi (Genoa);

Midfielders: Marco Crimi (Grosseto), Alessandro Florenzi (Roma), Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli), Luca Marrone (Juventus), Fausto Rossi (Brescia), Jacopo Sala (Amburgo), Riccardo Saponara (Empoli), Federico Viviani (Padova);

Forwards: Fabio Borini (Liverpool), Giuseppe De Luca (Atalanta), Manolo Gabbiadini (Bologna), Ciro Immobile (Genoa), Samuele Longo (Espanyol).
