Pandev aims to stay top

Goran Pandev has warned Juventus that Napoli don’t intend to relinquish their grip on first place in Serie A.

The two teams are joint top of the Division and they’ll face each other in Turin when Serie A resumes after the international break.

“I’m happy that I scored the decisive goal in the win over Udinese,” he said of the 2-1 triumph on Sunday.

“But the most important thing was that we won. We’re still top of the League and we want to stay there…”

Both sides have won six and drawn one of their first seven League games.

Juventus extended their unbeaten run in the League to 46 games with a 2-1 win at Siena on Sunday afternoon.
