Olympique Lyonnais Coach Remi Garde has denied rumours that striker Lisandro Lopez will join Fiorentina in January.
The Argentine forward has been heavily linked with a move to the Viola during the winter transfer window, but the 46-year-old tactician has quashed those reports, confirming that the Ligue 1 side's top goalscorer last season will be staying at Les Gones.
“For now we do not think he will move in January,” Garde told a Press conference today. “Our priority at the moment is to seek continuity and balance. I do not think he will leave Lyon at the moment.
“I am not aware of any concrete bids, despite what the newspapers say.
“I am not surprised though that he is being watched by other European clubs. He is a great striker.”
