The agent of Ciro Immobile has rejected the notion that his client could leave Genoa in the January transfer window.
“He’ll certainly stay,” Marco Sommella told Pianeta Genoa 1893. “I’ll also add that he will remain for many more years to come. The Genoa fans can stay calm.”
The Italian Under-21 international, Serie B top scorer last season while on loan at Pescara, is part-owned by the Rossoblu and Juventus.
He’s started all seven Serie A games so far this season, hitting the back of the net on two occasions in the process.
“He’s put in some good displays, but he’s been a bit unlucky with his scoring opportunities,” added the representative.
“However, as Genoa boss Gigi De Canio says, the important thing is that the player is having chances to miss.”
Immobile is currently on international duty as the Azzurri are hoping to qualify for Euro 2012 with their play-off games against Sweden.
