Pinturicchio broke his A-League duck in today’s 3-2 home loss against Newcastle Utd Jets, which also saw Emile Heskey score his first goal in Australia.
Del Piero had equalised for Sydney midway through the first half, earning and then converting a free kick from the edge of the box.
It sent the crowd wild, especially as this was Alex’s official debut at the Allianz Stadium.
The former Juventus legend was not enough to avoid a second consecutive Sydney defeat, though.
