Genoa defender Andreas Granqvist admits he is “flattered” by the interest from Liverpool.
The Swedish international has been a transfer target for several weeks with Brendan Rodgers reportedly sending scouts to view his performances at Marassi.
“In all honesty, I don’t know much about this interest. I am exclusively focused on Sweden’s internationals and we’ll see what happens in future,” the 27-year-old told Sportbladet.
“I am happy and really enjoy my football at Genoa, but obviously I am also flattered by the interest from the Reds. They are an historic and successful club.”
Granqvist had been on the verge of joining Lazio over the summer, but the two clubs failed to reach an agreement.
