Udinese celebrated captain Antonio Di Natale’s 35th birthday with a special Golden Ball cake and noted “he is like an adopted son.”

The striker has been at the Stadio Friuli since 2004, scoring 137 goals in 268 games, and was named in the 53-man long-list for the Ballon d’Or.

The official Udinese website is celebrating his 35th birthday today with a cake marking ‘Our Ballon d’Or winner.’

“Totò is a very special person as well as a player,” noted patron Giampaolo Pozzo.

“In my long working career I have never met a person like Totò on a human level. He is a generous lad, kind to everyone in every way. He has been here so long, he is like an adopted son to us now.

“He is doing well for 35 and I am convinced that is because of how hard he works and how seriously he takes his profession.

“I am convinced he will continue to play for many years and achieve more great things.”
