Juventus’ Claudio Marchisio will undergo tests on Wednesday to assess the extent of his shoulder problem.
The midfielder picked up the issue in Italy’s 3-1 win over Denmark on Tuesday night in their World Cup qualifier.
Marchisio was eventually forced off with the injury and he’ll be examined by club doctors in Turin on Wednesday.
The Old Lady will be keen to get him back to full fitness as soon as possible given that joint leaders Napoli arrive at the Juventus Stadium on Saturday.
Azzurri medics were confidently predicting that Marchisio would be available for Serie A action once the championship resumes.
