The British media claim that Fiorentina are lining up an €8m bid for Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez.
The Mexican striker, known as Chicharito, has a five-year contract with the club, although he has dropped down the pecking order behind Robin Van Persie and Danny Welbeck.
According to the Daily Star, Fiorentina are prepared to offer Hernandez regular first-team football, as they continue to look for a world class centre-forward.
The Viola failed in their bid to sign Dimitar Berbatov from Manchester United over the summer, as he opted for Fulham after a controversial switch in allegiance to Juventus.
However, while the English newspapers claim Fiorentina are prepared to match his current £80,000 per week wages, this seems unlikely in the current Italian financial market.
