Andrea Ranocchia has played down talk that his Nerazzurri side are Serie A’s new anti-Juve. “We are Inter!”
The Nerazzurri are in third place after another win, but they are just one point shy of Napoli and four adrift of Juventus after the Azzurri’s defeat in Turin.
“Are Inter the anti-Juve? Juve are still in the lead, but we're not anti-anything – we are simply Inter,” the defender noted.
“We've worked hard, also during the international break with those who remained at Appiano Gentile,” he added after the 2-0 win over Catania.
“We were feeling good both physically and mentally and we showed it.”
Ranocchia again impressed in the side’s new three-man defence, but he insists the system change is irrelevant to his performances.
“If I’m feeling good then I can help the team in any type of defence,” he maintained.
