Riccardo Montolivo is looking on the bright side of Milan’s latest loss after their 1-0 reverse at Malaga.
The Diavolo suffered a Champions League setback on Wednesday, but they are still second in their section – five points behind leaders Malaga and one ahead of Zenit.
“The group still looks positive,” said the summer signing from Fiorentina.
Nevertheless, Montolivo accepts that the Rossoneri have to improve and that they did encounter problems in Spain.
“We suffered too much in the second half with the men between the lines, then we created some things but not enough,” he added.
“In the first half we could have been more precise in the final third, but we tried to do what the Coach told us and do it well.
“In the second half, it was different, we suffered too much without tightening the midfield and the defence. We have to show more anger on the pitch.
“It was a tactical match in which we didn’t manage to deny them space.”
