The agent of Mattia Destro has quickly dismissed speculation that his client could join Juventus in exchange for Fabio Quagliarella.

Rumours of a January deal have been rife this week given the player’s goal struggles in the capital and Quagliarella’s admission that he’d like to play under Zdenek Zeman.

“You are asking me about something that does not exist,” Renzo Contratto told the Gazzetta Giallorossa.

“These rumours don’t need commenting about. There is no truth in them at all and I don’t understand who puts these stories around.”

Destro eventually joined Roma in the summer after also attracting the interest of Juve and former club Inter.

The 21-year-old has yet to score in five League appearances this term.

Quagliarella, meanwhile, has scored twice in five League games – although he has only started three times in Serie A this season.
