Nicola Legrottaglie warns his former teammates at Juventus that “Catania will do everything possible to win.”
The defender was owned by Juve from 2003 to 2011, albeit with brief loan spells at Bologna and Siena in 2005-06.
He comes face to face with the Bianconeri once more in today’s 11.30am UK time kick-off. Click here for a match preview.
“It’ll be nice to meet up with so many old friends and the club where I spent the best years of my career,” said 36-year-old Legrottaglie.
“Let it be known, Catania will do everything possible to win. I hope we get a 1-0 victory.
“Antonio Conte is a special person with great charisma who had an incredible effect on the team.
“I knew Conte as a colleague, a friend and as an assistant manager at Siena. You could tell he had that fire within him, so he is doing so well at the level he belongs in. So we’ll win and then I invite Conte to dinner for my Mum’s home-cooked meal.”
