Fiorentina patron Andrea Della Valle further mocked Juventus “talking rubbish” by pointing out “the 1982 Scudetto is ours.”
The President has often verbally sparred with the Agnelli family and launched into another attack after Juve director general Beppe Marotta said they had “done Fiorentina a favour” by wrecking their move for Dimitar Berbatov.
“Let us leave aside Marotta talking rubbish on Berbatov and Agnelli’s jokes about going to the disco,” snapped ADV.
“This is the 30th anniversary of the ‘virtual’ Scudetto of 1982. We hope to go partying to celebrate. Meantime, we’ll celebrate that 1982 Scudetto, because we feel it is ours, on our chests.”
He was mocking the fact Juventus continue to state they have 30 titles despite two being stripped in the Calciopoli scandal.
Della Valle was in the stands for this afternoon’s 2-0 victory over Lazio.
“I saw a Fiorentina side that was determined and the Stadio Franchi has returned to being a fortress. I heard of controversy over the referee. He is a young official and ought to be helped.
“The offside goal was a millimetrical decision, while Lazio’s players were trying to break our legs. We faced one of the strongest teams in Serie A and forced their goalkeeper into some great saves.”
