Fabrizio Miccoli has described the 2-2 draw with Milan as ‘half a defeat’ after Palermo threw away a two-goal advantage.

The Rosanero looked good for all three points until Riccardo Montolivo and Stephan El Shaarawy levelled things up in the second half at the Barbera on Tuesday.

“The Coach gave us a good telling off and he was right to,” the club captain, who netted a penalty, noted.

“The result was half a defeat for us because we should have closed out the game…

“To be honest, it is a good job that the game finished when it did because we even risked losing that one. Our performance dipped as the tie went on.”

Palermo are still in relegation trouble given that they have collected only eight points from the 30 on offer so far.

They could drop into the relegation zone if certain results don’t go their way in the remaining Week 10 games.
