In-form Roma forward Erik Lamela has not been included in the Argentina squad for a friendly against Saudi Arabia.
The youngster has shined in Serie A this term, but that hasn’t been enough to catch the eye of boss Alejandro Sabella.
Lamela has five goals in eight League games under the tutelage of Zdenek Zeman.
The South American giants will face Saudi Arabia on November 14.
There are five Serie A players in the squad in total, including Inter’s Ricky Alvarez who has made just five substitute appearances for the Beneamata this season.
Squad: Sergio Romero (Sampdoria), Mariano Andujar (Catania), Cristian Alvarez (Espanyol), Hugo Campagnaro (Napoli), Federico Fernandez (Napoli), Fabricio Coloccini (Newcastle), Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City), Ezequiel Garay (Benfica), Marcos Rojo (Sporting Lisbon), Luciano Monzon (Olympique Lyon), Javier Mascherano (Barcelona), Fernando Gago (Valencia), Tino Costa (Valencia), Enzo Perez (Benfica), Eduardo Salvio (Benfica), Angel Di María (Real Madrid), Fabian Rinaudo (Sporting Lisbon), Augusto Fernandez (Celta), Ricky Alvarez (Inter), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Gonzalo Higuain (Real Madrid), Franco Di Santo (Wigan Athletic).
