‘Inter trident best in Italy’

Inter have the best set of attacking options in Serie A right now, claims club legend Sandro Mazzola.

“Antonio Cassano, Diego Milito and Rodrigo Palacio have great qualities in front of goal,” the Italian told Radio Anch'Io Sport on Monday. “They are the strongest trident in the Division.”

Mazzola made the claim in the aftermath of the Beneamata’s impressive 3-1 win at Juventus on Saturday night.

Milito scored twice to move on to seven Serie A goals this term, while Palacio grabbed his third of the League campaign. Cassano, meanwhile, has five goals in 11 appearances.

Mazzola was also asked about the problem of fitting Wesley Sneijder back into the side when he is fully fit again.

“The good players have to play all of the time,” he added. “Coach Andrea Stramaccioni is very versatile, but the Dutchman will have to adapt – otherwise he won’t feature.”

Sneijder has scored one goal in five top-flight matches this term.
