Milan have released a brief note on their website again dismissing reports that they held talks for Pep Guardiola on Tuesday.
“Despite the denials of yesterday, there are still claims of a meeting between myself with family members or agents of Mr Pep Guardiola,” Vice-President Adriano Galliani stated.
“I repeat that I have never met any of these people and I challenge anyone to prove the contrary.”
Speculation is suggesting that Milan are hoping to bring in Guardiola next summer, in place of Massimiliano Allegri, at the end of his season-long sabbatical.
Guardiola, a former player with Brescia and Roma, is set to return to the game for the 2013-14 campaign.
Clubs in England are also thought to be very keen on the former Spanish international playmaker.
