Campagnaro puts Napoli above Juve

The agent of Hugo Campagnaro has played down links with Juventus. “We’re in talks with Napoli for a renewal…”

The defender is only contracted to the Stadio San Paolo outfit until the end of the season, which means he could potentially be available on a free transfer next summer.

Links with the Old Lady of Italian football have emerged in recent weeks, but a switch to Turin is seemingly not on the horizon.

“I don’t think a move to Juve is possible,” Alejandro Mazzoni told Radio Kiss Kiss. “The player is tied to Napoli until June and we are in contact with Napoli regarding an extension.

“Only if the talks collapse will we turn to one of the numerous clubs who admire my client.”

The 32-year-old, who has played in 11 League games this season, joined the Naples outfit in 2009 from Sampdoria.
