Parma boss Roberto Donadoni believes that Mario Balotelli could go on to be the best player in the world.

The 49-year-old Coach, who was in charge of the Italian national team between 2006 and 2008, has claimed that the Manchester City forward has the potential to the world's best footballer, if he improves some areas of his personality.

The 49-year-old Coach, who was in charge of the Italian national team between 2006 and 2008, has claimed that the Manchester City forward has the potential to the world's best footballer, if he improves some areas of his personality.

“Balotelli is a very talented player,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “But he needs to improve some aspects of his character.

“If he were to do that, then he could become the best player in the world.”

He also commented on the Azzurri's friendly clash with France on Wednesday, and the introduction of Roma youngster Alessandro Florenzi.

“I believe if a player is good enough, he should be in the squad,” Donadoni said. “Regardless of their age.”
