The tension is cranking up ahead of the Genoa derby and 15 Sampdoria ultras held a meeting with players and Coach Ciro Ferrara.
The fans had staged a protest and blocked off the team bus when they returned from Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Palermo.
That was a club record seventh straight Serie A loss and many fans are now calling for Ferrara to resign.
A group of 15 ultras were allowed a personal meeting behind closed doors with Coach Ferrara and captain Daniele Gastaldello.
They demanded an explanation for the run of defeats and urged more passion for Sunday’s huge Derby della Lanterna.
It’s believed the meeting earned the support of the ultras for the game, but another setback would see their patience run out.
