The agent of Emanuele Giaccherini has defended his inclusion in the Italy squad despite a lack of playing time at Juventus. “Daniele De Rossi probably wouldn’t get a game there…”
The midfielder has started just four League ties this season for a total of 385 minutes, yet Cesare Prandelli continues to select him in his Azzurri squads.
“All the Coaches that he has worked with fall in love with him,” representative Giulio Marinelli told Juve News 24.
“From Pierpaolo Bisoli to Massimo Ficcadenti, from Antonio Conte – who has always defended him in Turin – to Prandelli…
“It is true that he hasn’t played a lot, but there are considerations to make. Juventus have a European level midfield, perhaps a world class one.
“Roma’s De Rossi probably wouldn’t play in this Juventus side. Not being a first team regular in Turin doesn’t make you a bad player.”
Giaccherini, winner of five caps to date, made his international debut in the 1-1 draw with Spain at Euro 2012.
