The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has impressed for Cesare Prandelli's senior Azzurri side, but his representative has indicated that the 20-year-old would rather travel to Israel with Devis Mangia's side than play in the World Cup warm-up tournament in Brazil next summer.
“It will be up to the Football Federation to decide [where he plays],” Donato Di Campli told Radio Kiss Kiss. “And we will respect that decision, whatever it is.
“If I could choose, personally I would prefer that our best young talents were playing in the Euros.
“I think the Federation should focus all their efforts on helping Mangia win the tournament.”
