Siena Vice-President Valentina Mezzaroma has rubbished reports that Emanuele Calaio will be joining Napoli.
The striker is being linked with a January move to the Azzurri, but the Tuscan official has looked to silence the rumours.
“Calaio will definitely stay here,” she told Sky Sport Italia. “These stories are totally absurd.”
The 30-year-old is the club’s main scoring threat following the summer departure of Mattia Destro.
Calaio, four goals in 13 games this season, joined Siena in 2008 from Napoli after a three-year spell at the Stadio San Paolo.
