Wenger: Milan will return to the top

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is confident that Milan can return to the top of Serie A, despite their poor start to the season.

The Rossoneri have won just five of their first 14 games and currently sit in ninth position in Serie A, but the French Coach is clear that the San Siro side will get back to the top.

“Milan are a team that, despite obvious difficulties, will not panic,” he told Eurosport. “They are a great team and know what it takes to return to a high level.”

He also commented on defender Phillipe Mexes and his fabulous goal against Anderlecht in the Champions League.

“I saw the Mexes goal and it was frankly fabulous. It's great to score a goal like that, but especially for a defender.

“Phillipe has had his psychological problems, but on a technical level, his quality is undeniable.”
