Vladimir Petkovic praised Lazio’s attitude, especially after wasting an early penalty against Udinese, but won’t discuss Scudetto ambitions.
“Tonight we provided an excellent performance,” he said of the 3-0 victory at the Stadio Olimpico.
“We did well to maintain a certain tempo even after missing the penalty. We were in control for 90 minutes, allowing very little space to our opponents.”
The Biancocelesti are now in fifth place, but just two points adrift of Inter and Fiorentina in joint third, so Coach Petkovic was asked if they could be considered Scudetto contenders.
“We just hope to keep on improving, as playing like this is the only way to keep winning. We take it one game at a time, that is our mentality.”
