Miroslav Klose won’t rule out a Scudetto push for Lazio, as “our minimum objective is Champions League qualification.”
The Biancocelesti are currently in fifth place after their comfortable 3-0 victory over Udinese on Tuesday and already sure of a spot in the Europa League knock-outs.
“It is too early to say whether we are Scudetto material, but we know that we have a talented squad that can beat anyone,” Klose told TopMercato.com.
“Our start to the season has been very interesting, but there’s a long way to go. Our minimum objective is Champions League qualification.
“I’d love to win trophies with Lazio, as this is what I came here for. If that includes a Capocannoniere title along the way, then it’s welcome, but it’s not an obsession of mine.
“I settled in very quickly in Rome and immediately felt at home in this club. I certainly don’t regret coming here, as I could not have chosen a better side.
“Lazio are a great club who want to get back into the European elite and I am very enthusiastic about this project. Everything is going well and I really can’t complain.”
