Petkovic: 'Lazio did enough'

Vladimir Petkovic concedes Lazio “did not play one of our best games,” but did enough to beat Parma.

“It was extremely important to get the victory today, as it’s never easy to get a result against a strong opponent like Parma,” he said of the 2-1 win.

“We did not play one of our best games, but we did what we had to do in order to win. Parma got back into the match with their possession, but overall they only really threatened with Ishak Belfodil.

“Miroslav Klose went off with a slight muscular problem and we’ll know more after the tests next week.”

Lazio are now in fourth place, waiting for Fiorentina’s match with Sampdoria this evening.

“We must become convinced that we can keep the tempo up for the whole 90 minutes,” added Petkovic.

“Over the last five games we have played pretty well and only got it wrong against Catania.”
