Juventus were not one of the clubs who showed an interest in Lazio’s Modibo Diakite during the summer, his agent has admitted.
The 25-year-old is expected to leave the capital club given that he hasn’t played for the side since contract renewal talks stalled.
Juventus have been paired with the man who could be available on a Bosman in June, but the Old Lady have yet to show any interest.
“I have to be honest, I’ve never heard from Juventus,” agent Ulisse Savini told TMW. “The clubs who wanted him in the summer were Genoa, Fiorentina, Bordeaux, Terek Grozny and other foreign sides.
“January? Genoa are a possibility because we know that the player can’t remain sidelined for a year. However, there are no talks going on right now.”
The defender wanted a new deal in the capital worth €1.2m a season, but Lazio are refusing to offer him more than €750,000 a campaign.
