Zanetti hails humble Inter

Inter captain Javier Zanetti has revealed the secret behind the club’s impressive start to the campaign.

Despite some high profile departures over the summer and the contract row with Wesley Sneijder, the Nerazzurri moved into second place with a win over Napoli last night.

“You can go a long way with humility,” he told Inter Channel. “In our case it’s in the club's DNA, from the President all the way down to each of us.

“Now we must try to be more consistent, especially in the games that look easier on paper. We're on the up again, we must keep going as we are.”

Inter are now four points behind leaders Juventus following the 2-1 over the Azzurri at San Siro on Sunday.

“The most important thing is the way we managed to beat a tough team that runs like clockwork, we won because we showed humility and put in the hard work,” he added.

“It's a win that proves we're a strong side, but we know we still have a lot to keep working on.”
