Torino and Italy defender Angelo Ogbonna underwent hernia surgery today and will stay in hospital overnight.
“Doctor Sansonetti performed surgery on Ogbonna today in Milan, aided by Torino FC chief medic Renato Misischi, to correct the hernia the defender was affected by,” read a statement.
“The operation was a complete success. Ogbonna will be released from hospital tomorrow morning, save for complications.”
It is not clear how long the 24-year-old will be out for.
