Francelino Matuzalem is a step closer to officially joining Genoa after the Lazio man had his medical with the port outfit.

The Brazilian, who has not played for the capital club this season after a fall-out, will join the relegation-threatened side next month once the January transfer window opens.

The former Napoli man underwent a number of tests this morning and, with the permission of Lazio, he’s already taken part in his first Rossoblu training session.
