Palermo have denied speculation that they are looking to re-sign three of their former players next month.
Fiorentina’s Mattia Cassani, Genoa’s Cesare Bovo and Parma’s Cristian Zaccardo have all been paired with January moves to Sicily.
However, Vice-President Guglielmo Miccichè has told Radio Toscana that the reports are pure speculation.
“I’ve seen the stories, but there is no truth in them,” he stated.
Miccichè also cooled speculation that the club were well placed to sign Italian Under-21 international Ciro Immobile from Genoa after Christmas.
“It would be an exaggeration to say that there is a good chance that he will arrive,” the official continued.
“We like him a lot, but he is also wanted by other clubs and he is not our only attacking objective.
“He’s not doing too well in Genoa, but his future will be decided by them and co-owners Juventus…”
