Paris Saint-Germain’s Thiago Silva has admitted that he’d love to get the opportunity to play for Milan again in the future.

“I can’t deny that I miss Milan,” the stopper, who left the Diavolo for PSG in the summer at a cost of over €40m, told Sky Sport Italia.

“They will always remain in my heart because they gave me the chance to go around the world after I left Fluminense.

“I’d like a return to Milan in the future, they are a great club, one of the most successful in the world.

“I played there for three years and I can’t exclude anything because the future is unknown. If the opportunity presented itself then I would happily go back.”

The Brazilian international was actually hoping for a February ‘return’ once the Champions League resumed.

PSG could have been paired with Milan in yesterday’s draw, but the French giants have been handed Valencia instead.

“I wanted to face Milan in the Champions League,” the centre-back added. “I wanted to play them just so I could return to the club that is still so important to me.

“When I played my last game there, I did not know it at the time and I did not say goodbye to everyone that I wanted to.”
