Angelo Palombo is back in the Sampdoria first team squad following the arrival of new boss Delio Rossi.
The former Italian international was frozen out of the first team plans by previous Coach Ciro Ferrara following his return from a loan spell at Inter in the summer.
However, just days after Rossi took over, Palombo’s name is amongst the 24-man party for the game against Lazio.
“Palombo is in the squad,” the former Palermo tactician confirmed. “The club didn’t issue me with any kind of veto.
“I remember that Palombo was always an important element when I’ve come up against him in the past, he’s part of Samp’s history.
“He seems really motivated and the fact that I can name 23 players on a match day favours his inclusion.”
Squad: Berni, Da Costa, Romero; Berardi, Castellini, Costa, De Silvestri, Gastaldello, Mustafi, Poulsen, Rossini; Krsticic, Maresca, Munari, Obiang, Palombo, Poli, Renan, Soriano; Juan Antonio, Eder, Estigarribia, Icardi, Pozzi.
