Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini admits he has “a bad feeling” about their campaign after slipping into the relegation zone.
The Sicilians were hammered 3-0 on home turf by Fiorentina on Saturday and tumbled into the bottom three.
“I’ve got a bad feeling,” confessed Zamparini on Radio Radio this afternoon.
“It was a horrible day, but this is Palermo’s lot this season. Yesterday we encountered a wonderful Fiorentina side that put us under badly. It was a dreadful performance, but we were missing some key players too.
“What really upsets me is that while last Sunday they didn’t give us a clear-cut penalty against Udinese, this weekend they gave two very dubious ones to Fiorentina.
“It is this difference in refereeing standards that irritates me. I call it bad luck when it happens occasionally, but not when it always seems to happen to us.”
