Paris Saint-Germain ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been left impressed by the ability of Italian youngster Marco Verratti.
Both players were presented by the French club on the same day in the summer after Ibra arrived from Milan, while Verratti was netted for €12m from Pescara.
“I’m in agreement with all of the positive things which are being said about him,” the Swedish international stated of the playmaker.
“He was an excellent investment for Paris Saint-Germain. He has enormous talent.”
Verratti, who was also wanted by Juventus and Napoli in the summer, is being touted as the next Andrea Pirlo.
Although still eligible for the Italian Under-21 side, Verratti is now a regular in the squad of Italy boss Cesare Prandelli.
