Chievo Verona have dismissed speculation that Marco Andreolli is set for a January return to Inter.
The former Italian Under-21 international was being linked with a switch to the Nerazzurri, a club who signed him as a teenager in 2003.
“Andreolli will stay here with us,” Chievo sporting director Giovanni Sartori commented. “Inter haven’t asked him for us.”
The 26-year-old, who Inter sold to Roma in 2007, is being followed by a number of clubs as his contract at the Bentegodi expires in June.
The centre-back has scored two goals in 10 games for the Gialloblu so far this season.
