Roma begin Disney World tour

Roma have started their US training tour in Florida, but have left Nico Lopez out of the squad, suggesting a January sale.

The Giallorossi flew out from Fiumicino airport in Rome on Friday and will spend just under a week at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.

It is connected to Disney World and opened in 1997. Zdenek Zeman’s men will hold two training sessions per day on December 29 and 30,  plus one on the 31 and another on the afternoon of January 1.

They’ll travel to Rollins College for a friendly against Orlando City on January 2 and fly back the morning after.

Nico Lopez has been left out of the squad, fuelling reports of a January exit for the young striker who has barely featured since scoring on his Serie A debut.

Some of the players will arrive slightly later to the training camp and begin tomorrow.

Roma squad: Balzaretti, Burdisso, Bradley, Castan, De Rossi, Destro, Dodò, Goicoechea, Florenzi, Lamela, Lobont, Lucca, Marquinho, Marquinhos, Osvaldo, Perrotta, Piris, Pjanic, Romagnoli, Stekelenburg, Svedkauskas, Tachtsidis, Taddei, Totti
