Bojan Krkic could be on his way back to Barcelona as his two-year loan spell in Italy draws to a close.

The 22-year-old is 18 months into his spell in Serie A, having spent one season at Roma, before being moved on to Milan this summer.

Massimiliano Allegri's side have a €14m option to make his stay on the peninsula permanent, but the player's father has claimed that a return to Spain cannot be ruled out.

“Bojan is in a privileged position,” he told Cope. “He belongs to two big clubs like Milan and Barca.

“But we cannot rule out a return to Barca. A lot can happen. The truth is that with Tito Vilanova he has always had a good relationship and mutual appreciation.”

Bojan, who had previously hinted that his original departure from Camp Nou was due to a difficult relationship between himself and then Coach Pep Guardiola, will return to the club when the Rossoneri face Barca in February in the Champions League.

“He would have preferred to avoid them in the Champions League and play against any other team.

“Any team facing Barcelona will do so as the inferior side.”
