Pescara forward Elvis Abbruscato has admitted that the past 12 months have been 'intense' and hopes they can stay in Serie A.

The Delfini currently sit in 16th place in Serie A, having won five of their first 18 games, and the 31-year-old striker has claimed that his team are in a good position to avoid relegation.

“It was an intense 2012,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “It began with difficulty, but it ended with a win over Catania.

“Those three points have allowed us to be in a good position in the table going into the second half of the season.”
