Eugenio Corini talked up the Chievo troops for today’s relegation tussle with Atalanta. “We want to start 2013 where we left off.”
The Flying Donkeys are just one point behind the Orobici going into the game and have impressed since Corini replaced Domenico Di Carlo.
“The New Year has just begun and we want to start 2013 where we left off, with the kind of performances and results we had before the Christmas break.
“We got back on our feet during December and now is the time to continue the path we were on.
“Chievo cannot afford to let anything slip in this difficult and balanced League, seeing as several teams are reinforcing during the transfer window.
“We must be very careful against Atalanta and try to bring home the maximum result.”
Nicolas Frey and Boukary Drame are still out injured, while Mamadou Samassa is on international duty for the African Cup of Nations.
