The agent of Maarten Stekelenburg will meet Roma director general Franco Baldini later today to discuss his client’s future.
The Dutch international, 30, is unhappy that he’s been replaced by Mauro Goicoechea as the club’s first choice goalkeeper.
“I’ll have talks with Roma on Tuesday,” Rob Jansen told Voetbal International. “The goalkeeping situation at the club is not very clear.
“If this situation was to persist then we would evaluate other avenues. Maarten didn’t come to Roma to sit on the bench.”
The former Ajax man has appeared in only nine League games so far this season following the arrival of boss Zdenek Zeman.
