After Napoli officially reached a deal for Pablo Armero, Andrea Dossena has confirmed “they’ve given me the all-clear to join Palermo.”
The former Liverpool winger had been waiting for news on the Armero talks with Udinese before completing his own transfer.
This evening Napoli released a statement confirming a deal to sign Armero, pending a medical, on loan with an option to buy 50 per cent of his contract.
“Yes, Napoli have given me the all-clear to join Palermo,” revealed Dossena on Stadionews.
“I am happy with this new experience and hope to immediately be at the disposal of Coach Gian Piero Gasperini.”
Palermo have already signed defender Salvatore Aronica from Napoli, making his debut at the weekend.
In other transfer news, Siena have officially sold goalkeeper Andrea Campagnolo to Serie B side Cesena.
