Roberto Donadoni aims to keep his unbeaten home record when Parma welcome Juventus and praised Sebastian Giovinco as “a complete football player.”
The Ducali are the only team left in Serie A without a defeat on their own soil this season and hope to maintain that status after Sunday afternoon’s game. Click here for a blog on Parma’s Tardini success.
“It is a very important game, just as they all are. Playing against Juventus gives you particular motivation and it’ll be exciting to face the best team in the Division,” explained the Coach.
“I want to see us match them in terms of intensity and determination. The fact Antonio Conte complimented us on our work at Parma shows just how well we are doing here.
“It will take a very special performance to stop Juventus, though. The Bianconeri are coming off a defeat to Sampdoria, but a slip-up can occur through the course of a season. Tomorrow will be a completely different match.”
The Tardini tie is special for Giovinco, who was co-owned by Parma and flourished under Donadoni’s guidance before his return to Juventus this summer.
“Giovinco is a player who has it all, not just technique. He is proving it with facts, but I had no doubts that he was a complete football player.”
Yohan Benalouane and Alessandro Lucarelli sit out bans for tomorrow’s game.
