The Delfini had won three of the previous four games and were fresh from ending Fiorentina’s” data-scaytid=”14″>Fiorentina’s unbeaten home record, but lost 2-0 at San Siro.

“We haven’t lost our hunger after the recent victories,” assured the Coach. “Inter played well and we simply put in our worst performance in my time here.

“We must improve in terms of consistency. It was a deserved defeat after a below par performance and I hope we can get back on track next Sunday against Torino.

“We made so many technical mistakes, an area where we had done so well against Fiorentina. The lads were imprecise with their passing and were unable to do anything we were supposed to.

“I wanted to send my strikers on to their defenders to put pressure on and therefore help the midfield, but we had to be more aggressive than that. There was no movement off the ball.

“When I arrived I tried to change the attitude of some players. Football is about 11 men working together, when attacking or defending, so everyone has to take a good look at themselves.”
