Palermo sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco has admitted that they have had second thoughts about signing Diego Buonanotte.

The attacker's move from Malaga to Sicily looked set in stone over the Christmas break, but the 58-year-old has conceded that transfer hasn't materialised because of their worries over the Argentine playmaker.

“We want to do everything possible to strength the team,” he told reporters.

“We will not give up, regardless of where we are in the League.

“Buonanotte wanted to come here,” he added. “But the problem now is that we are having second thoughts about the move.”
